Post #5: Assumptions of the skillful teacher

The assumptions are directly related to ensuring that the learning is student centered. A teacher should select and screen out the methods appropriate to the learners. The learning process should be critically evaluated against the learner engagement and modified as needed. This process is highly adaptive and will ensure that the learning is focused on students and a large amount of work is needed from teachers to stay at forefront of developments and provide subject matter expertise at a level that ensures that learners meet the learning objectives effectively. Teachers do not have control over the student population enrolled and can influence the learning process showing understanding for diversity, best practices of the field of study while feeling respected and fair.
